An assessment notice usually provides instructions on who to contact if you disagree with the assessment, how to make an appeal as well as other pertinent details. It also gives a specific time frame in which to make a case which may be a full six weeks from the time you receive the assessment in the mail, to as little as two weeks. If you miss this window, you’ll have to wait until next year to protest.
